End of Year Milestones and Accomplishments
2025 was great but 2026 is shaping up to be the most significant in the history of cancer research
Fenbendazole Can Cure Cancer presents Case Reports of people who have treated their own cancers along with other articles to help understand how fenbendazole works to treat cancer. Previous articles covering other cancers are in the Archives link.
As we reflect on 2025 it feels like we’re transitioning to a new and exciting era in cancer research. Some of the notable accomplishments include the peer-reviewed publication of our Case Reports in Case Reports in Oncology. Makis, W., Baghli, I., & Martinez, P. (2025). Fenbendazole as an Anticancer Agent? A Case Series of Self-Administration in Three Patients. Case Reports in Oncology, 18(1), 856–863. https://doi.org/10.1159/000546362
The significance of this paper cannot be understated: it demonstrated that fenbendazole is a cure for cancer, at least for the three cancers studied: Breast, melanoma and prostate. As readers of this Substack are aware, fenbendazole has proven effectiveness in a wide variety of other cancers as well. Look for more groundbreaking research like this to be published in 2026. Encouragingly, as you may have noticed reading through the Comments Sections of the articles, individual cancer specialists are warming up to fenbendazole as a safe, inexpensive, effective adjuvant treatment to standard of care treatments.
In addition to these individual transformations in attitude there is a groundswell of activity at the State and Federal level for the promise of fenbendazole and other antiparasitics in the treatment of cancer. The State of Florida has recently committed $60M to the study of repurposed antiparasitics like ivermectin, mebendazole and fenbendazole in health and disease (link).
Perhaps even more dramatic than that pioneering effort, a champion of repurposed medicines and promoter of common sense, Yale faculty member Harvey Risch, MD, Ph.D was just appointed on December 19, 2025 to lead the National Cancer Institute and spearhead the President’s Cancer Panel Dr. Harvey Risch Appointed Chairman of President Trump’s Cancer Panel | HHS.gov
This development represents a sea change at the Federal level that began with appointment of Secretary Kennedy to lead the rebirth of HHS. President Trump is going for it! The “it” is the legitimate cure for cancer which antiparasitics represent. Trump wants to be known as President under whose watch cancer was essentially cured. The stars are aligned, the pieces in place and it’s happening now.
Politics aside, our health agencies are captured by interests motivated to maintain the status quo in cancer treatment and research, but that situation is slowly but surely being unwound by the present Administration. All of us that value our health should be onboard with this movement to clean out the corruption, self-dealing and fake science that has plagued HHS for the last 50 years. This capture and resultant dysfunction of public health has led to us being sicker and sicker with a recent CDC study finding that 8 out of 10 Americans currently have a chronic health condition compared to 1 in 10 in the early 1960s (Watson et al., 2025). All that money, research and “innovation” and we get sicker!
Around the New Year we will have a groundbreaking announcement that will likely change the direction and scope of cancer research and treatment for years to come. That announcement will also contain useful information that, as readers of this Substack, you’ll need to know to best prepare for what’s coming.
A cure for cancer, as embodied in the form of antiparasitics, is at our doorstep all that’s necessary is for us to open that door.
With the promise of what’s to come as a backdrop, we wanted to wish all of you and yours a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and all the other variations of Season’s Greetings that may apply.

Fenbendazole vs. Mebendazole vs. Albendazole vs. Flubendazole: The benzimidazoles are very similar chemically and they have very similar mechanisms of action with respect to disrupting microtubule function, specifically defined as binding to the colchicine-sensitive site of the beta subunit of helminithic (parasite) tubulin thereby disrupting binding of that beta unit with the alpha unit of tubulin which blocks intracellular transport and glucose absorption (Guerini et al., 2019). If someone asks you how fenbendazole kills the cancer cells, the answer is in italics in the previous sentence.
The class of drugs known as benzimidazoles includes fenbendazole, mebendazole, albendazole and flubendazole. Mebendazole is the form that is approved for human use while fenbendazole is approved for veterinary use. The main difference is the cost. Mebendazole is expensive ~$555 per 100 mg pill, while fenbendazole is inexpensive ~48 cents per 222 mg free powder dose (Williams, 2019). As you may recall, albendazole is the form used to treat intestinal parasites in India and these cost 2 cents per pill. FYI, to illustrate how Americans are screwed by Big Pharma, two pills of mebendazole cost just $4 in the UK, 27 cents per 100 mg pill in India and $555 per 100 mg pill in the US.
While most of the pre-clinical research uses mebendazole, probably because it is the FDA-approved-for-humans form of fenbendazole, virtually all of the self-treating clinical reports involve the use of fenbendazole. Because the pre-clinical cancer studies use mebendazole (ironically the human form of fenbendazole) and humans self-treat their cancers with fenbendazole (the animal form of mebendazole) it is very reasonable to assume that mebendazole and fenbendazole are functional equivalents with respect to cancer. It would be helpful if future pre-clinical and clinical investigations simply used fenbendazole as a practical matter. For the purposes of this Substack, fenbendazole, mebendazole and albendazole are used interchangably.
Where to get fenbendazole
In our experience and the experiences of those that write in, it appears that the three readily available brands of fenbendazole (Panacur-C, FenBen Labs, Happy Healing Labs) are equally effective. Panacur-C can be obtained locally in pet stores, while they all can be obtained from Amazon. The article on Questions & Answers discusses the brands of fenbendazole in detail and shows photos of the various brands referenced.
If you would like to report your experiences with fenbendazole you can do so privately by email myfenbendazole@proton.me or more publicly in the Comments section in any of the articles. Also, if you know of people who’ve tried fenbendazole, and it didn’t work, we’d be especially interested in hearing from you now. Understanding the conditions and factors that enhance or impede the success of fenbendazole in treating cancer are valuable.

It’s about time . Too many cures shoved under the table and leave people suffering. Watching my husband starve to death from pancreatic cancer for 8 months feeding him with a tube as the tumors grew into all his organs is a cruel way to die now knowing the drug companies have known fit yrs that ivermectin could kill cancer stem cells. Just legalize it in every state and put the safety info in the instructions. Dr Makis has done enough studies on his own to make the trials legitimate. People are suffering. I should not have lost my husband. I should not have lost my brother in law or my sister in law to this disease. All these people dying when they didn’t have to after working their whole lives and never got to spend one day celebrating retirement. For me it has left emotional scares that will never go away.
Good evening, Ben Fen! Just wanted to say thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do, and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season. Here’s to 2026 and to even better cancer treatment for all. Cheers!
